I hate Islam, and think that Muslims are scum of the earth... and I think that half of all the people poled believing that Muslims should have their civil liberties restricted is pretty damned extreme.

Mostly, it's Mohammd. He was not a plain human. He was a criminal killed thousands of innocent people. He did kill my great-great... mother. He killed many other noble people who were staying at his way to power. He was a criminal.

Of course he was not born a criminal. Before it he was a child and the fact that his mother refused him contributed to his future hatred to people. And his illness, his poverty, his humiliation when he was working a camel driver (it was humiliating business in that time), and his ambitions also contributed to his criminal future. Nobody know all roots of evil.

We may have compassion to him when he was a child. But I have no compassion to him when he was evil, a brutal killer, lying "prophet", butcher and pedophile. He left book which teaches hatred, killing and oppression. Not to mention amazing levels of mysogyny.

So does the Bible. I don't think it's fair to judge people as "the scum of the earth" because they (probably) haven't read their holy book very thoroughly. Shouldn't they be judged on their actions?

Islam without Muhammad is somewhere in between Christianity without Jesus and Naziism without Hitler. This murderous pedophile is "the Prophet," to whom all Muslims pay hommage.

Believing is an action. It's a verb, after all.

I'm *saying* that you're using the wrong criteria for judging people. Unless they people you're talking about *themselves* are having sex with minors, talking about other people having sex with minors is pointless. Judging people on anything other than their own personal actions is wrong.

What's also disturbing is that both of the Muslim men I've known as more than passing acquaintances are real jerks, and one is particularly scary. It doesn't help my determination NOT to view Muslims or people of middle-eastern heritage as anything but terrorists. but I STILL disagree with the profiling. People can be nice, and people can be real jerks. Some are peaceful while some are driven to terrorize others.

EVERYONE is capable of being a terrorist. Being Muslim or from the middle east doesn't change those odds very much! At least I don't think they do. Right now, there are SO many people in the USA who are very militant about their hatred of anyone who they perceive as foreign. THAT is the budding of internal terrorism, and I doubt they would want to admit to it.
