Okay, please tell me.

Did somebody repeal the laws of common courtesy? Because I always thought it was polite to stay on topic instead of randomly veering off into tangents. Maybe it's just me. (And youse guys are lucky I'm not showing the "poor dying kitty" post that found its way onto bush_sucks....)

I think people are really REALLY nervous about this election. Nervous people tend to commit more faux pas. What can you do?
But yes, I agree. It's plain out irriating when folks go veering wildly off topic in a public forum.

In the comms I'm in, they're all saying "I went to vote today, you should too" and then in [livejournal.com profile] ratties they say how they wanted to bring their rat, and in [livejournal.com profile] knitting they say how they knitted while they waited, and in [livejournal.com profile] buddhism they turn it into a spiritual discussion.
