*is looking up random mnemonics*

The acronym mnemonic "DOC" represents the shape of the Moon: "D" is the waxing moon; "O" the full moon; and "C" the waning moon). In the Southern hemisphere, this is reversed, and the mnemonic is "COD".

What, seriously? COOOOOOOL!

I need sleep.

I think of it as the moon makes a "D" for "Daring" when it's waxing and a "C" for "Coy" when it's waning.

Hehehe. Cod.

The trick I saw was you attach a line, and it makes a lowercase b or d. B means born (waxing), d means dying (waning).

I've never liked it much, but it's what I remember.

I always used to remember it as Crescendo and Decrescendo, and this was easy for me to remember because it's wrong! (you have to always keep in mind that it's actually the opposite.)
