It really is all laundry all the time

Person A: You know you're supposed to finish the laundry if you start it during your shift!

Me, silently: Don't think of it as my three loads of laundry that I didn't finish during my shift, think of it as your three loads of laundry that I got started for you. Though really, if Person B had done her laundry during her shift like she should have then neither of us would be having this conversation today.

(There was no reason for all four of the women to have their hampers literally overflowing with clothes. Somebody, or more like several somebodies, clearly has been falling down on the job here.)

Certainly someone needs to answer to their lack of progress, and it isn't you... Valid reason or not, something is better than silence...!

I’ll just talk to person B next week and tell her that she doesn’t need to do the laundry, but she does need to get it out of their rooms before midnight - I don’t want to go creeping around in there once they’re asleep.

Fair, sometimes it's better/easier to just rearrange tasks or change tactics to smoothly get a (more) favourable end result.

I wonder what was going on during Person B's shift? Or do they have time management issues? Or, something else?

She’s in her 20s. I guarantee it just didn’t occur to her that she has to check.
