Well, it's a minority government, which isn't great, as the Cons still have a fair amount of seats within the House and can influence and throw wrenches into things. But Poilievre lost his seat, so that's a nice bonus.
Yes, and I think we need to make fun of him as much as possible for this. The Conservatives have a lot of factions & the more normal ones all benefit from the consensus emerging that basically, they did ok in this election because the electoral environment favoured them (voters sick of Trudeau & the Liberals), but that PP is a world class bungler who lost an election that was super winnable.
Liberal minority supported by the NDP was kinda SOP until just recently. Also, Carney is a centrist who might pull in the sane Conservatives. I miss the Red Tories of my long ago youth.
A Liberal minority government is overall the least worst outcome. Also, the leader of the CPC (Poilievre) lost his seat to the Liberals. (There were 91 candidates in his riding. It took several hours to count.)
