I feel the need to inform you that

if you chronically do the "put it off to the very last minute because you can't be productive starting even a second earlier" thing and the "drink coffee to fall asleep" thing you do not simply have, oh gosh, "some of the elements" of ADHD.

Today's Frazz. I have no doubt there'll be several more interesting responses in time.

Tis true.

The second one particularly.

Yeah, that's not "elements" at all.

Conversely, I am reminded of some Discord or Twitter discussion, by ADHD types, talking about how "brushing your teeth every day" was some strange neurotypical superpower, that convinced me I probably wasn't on their spectrum.

Honestly, punting homework to the last minute seems more common than not. I did ride the line rather finely with high school essays, but I kept getting A's. I don't recall if I was panicked or just whipping it out.

Conversely to that, in grad school's computer theory class, my superpowers were "reading the chapter ahead of the lecture" and "starting the weekly homework not the night before it was due." Math proofs do not benefit from last minute stress, in my experience.
