You know, a few years ago I really got into it with somebody who, among other things, took issue to my suggesting "an old book" was not enough detail and she really should tell us when she read it and when she thinks it's from. "Everybody knows what old means!"

Yeah, well, apparently everybody does not know that at all.

Yep! I did a meme a few years back which had a question about how many 'retro' items I have in my home. I was puzzled as to the definition of 'retro' - my WWII piece of furniture? Chinese dinner service from the year I was born? Backstreet Boys CDs? From my point of view, these are just 'stuff'.

Oh dear. Mind you, I'm part of the generation who still thinks the 80s was 20 years ago, because the 2000s was a far future fantasy, and counting stopped when we got there.

Last night, while doing an IMDB dive while Russet drove us back from seeing Inside Out 2 (lots of fun), I discovered that there was something made called Home Movies: The Princess Bride. And that started a discussion between the two of us as to when William Goldman passed away. Turned out it was in 2018, which is a lot less recent than I thought.
