where's that comic that compare-contrasts the start and end of two typical D&D campaign experiences, one where the characters are clearly designed for serious (possibly grimdark?) storytelling that ends up farce, one where the character's clearly designed for maximum absurdity and then gets a dramatic death scene to save the lives of his lover and the rest of their party

I'm also thinking of that photo of two houses on some California beach, one's goth black and the other is Barbie fairy dreamhouse pink, the version that someone labeled to highlight the volume of fluff and domesticity in fanworks of tragic canons and the volume of violence and torment in fanworks of cheerful canons, but that is not as on point
