*cracks up laughing*
This is in response to a comment that, apparently, my view of the world (which she believes to be erroneous) is entirely based on the fact that I'm "only 21"
I love the part about how autism does not form a cloud over one's social judgment. Maybe I'm wrong. It often happens. AM I wrong in saying that this is bullshit crap?
Edit: I just checked the DSM. Asperger's/autism requires, among other things, a "lack of social and emotional reciprocity". Wouldn't that entail problems with social judgment?

I don't see any fault in your posts at all. Her, she's got her panties in a bunch. JMHO.

Of course from my perspective poking into someone's bio at the begining of an argument to start slaping someone down is pritty rude... I only do that once I find logic, evidence and reason have failed, and want to understand why such a powerfull trinity would crumble.
Usualy it's cause the person I'm arguing with has "fox news" linked or listed as an interest.

It's petty, is what it is. Her first attempt was "well, you're only 21, that explains it". *rolls her eyes loudly*

But now she'll be more convinced than ever that I just begged all my friends to show up and support me (and they did).

Thpppts to the idiot who thinks she's autistic. I suggest you ban her from your LJ - that kind of b.s. you don't need, eh?

I don't find that my autism "forms a cloud over my social judgement". On the contrary, it seems to me that neurotypicality (http://ascaris1.home.att.net/neurotypicality.html) frequently 'forms a cloud' over the social judgement of NTs, who have no notable history of being able to get along peaceably with one another.
I read through your entire debate with that person (if one can call it a debate) and I was amazed that you stuck with it so long, because she was clearly incapable of rational discussion. Perseveration is a super-power, and you obviously have it to an admirable degree, but sometimes there just isn't any point in persevering, and it seemed to me that that was one of those times.
As for the DSM, if you keep it in the bathroom you won't have to buy toilet paper for a long time.

Unfortunately, the majority does tend to rule, so saying that just makes you sound wrong. Even if you're not.
