I've made suet

In fact, I've made entirely too much suet and it's now cooling all over my kitchen.

One of these days I'm going to have to learn the meaning of the word "moderation" and apply it to my own life. That day apparently is not today.

If I could be there in a moment, I would be, and would relieve you of some of your suet. I recently discovered just how good suet pastry is, and would love to make it from scratch.

*disappointed noises* I know the stuff you mean though.

The birds will enjoy your suet, but I, too, am vaguely disappointed that it isn't real suet for making pastry. I would like to try that. Grandma always used lard in hers, but I don't care for lard (or even pork), so I use butter. I do like red meat (not that I eat it often), so I suspect that I would like a pie crust with suet in it, and am curious to try.

You sound like my mother trying to make pasta. She always ends up with what we call "a pasta explosion"!

What is the "moderation" that you speak of?
