Regarding the cough syrup, propylene glycol 3350 is sold as Miralax for constipation per FDA approval. Thank goodness the manufacturers of Miralax and its generic versions are more careful!

I'm 68. I STILL get goddamn pimples. In fact, going through perimenpause I had more of them than I'd ever had before. Bah.

I guess I'm the outlier here, because my adult acne, apart from zits with direct causes like resting my face on my hand, stopped after I got effective rosacea treatment.

Commiserations! I'm 70 & still have problems with acne. I should be used to it after 55 years, but I still hate it.
I suspect it's from either stress or from dairy fat. I eat very little dairy but once in a while splurge and have an ice cream.
The dermatologist says not to worry about it and that my skin is doing it's job quite well.
