Rewatching She-Ra

I don't know, I just really like that show.

Just passed that episode with the spore storm, which I think marks the point where Kyle, Lonnie, and Rogelio must have started seriously talking about making an escape. This all reminds me that there are not enough fics featuring those three, probably because there are never enough fics featuring side characters.

I always want more fics with side characters, but I guess everybody else always wants more fics with the main characters, or else that's just what they want to write. Same difference, in the end. Still frustrating!

Same, friend. I do not watch this show, or I would be writing many side-character and rarepair fics for your enjoyment. Not that you would necessarily know it was me, it would be my Sekrit Identity.

Not that secret now that you just told me! Would you like to watch it? Because other than the somewhat shaky first season (every character gets their own individual intro episode, which is a bit much) I think it's well worth the watch.

Also, Kyle/Lonnie/Rogelio is a canonical trio. Though also rare, because pretty much nobody writes fics centering any of the three.

Kyle, Lonnie, and Rogelio are absolutely the people you make spin-offs about, because Kyle is the comic relief wherever he is, and it would make for a good show for those three where the refrain is that it's a good thing Kyle's cute, because he doesn't contribute a whole lot.

But yes, those three should have their own Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead kind of life well away from whatever all the She-Ra stuff is.

He does, though. He's clearly the heart. Without him, it's just two people who grew up together and get along. Neither of the other two would've thought to rescue Imp, I'm sure.

Indeed. Kyle is the heart and possibly the hinge to the trio, and he's also usually the target of physical comedy or the one who gets duped. So the refrain if the show would be that he didn't contribute much, but the truth is that he does, it's just not usually the visible stuff that Lonnie and Rogelio can do.
