Today in NYC:

Terrifying.

Today in Hyrule: You know how Riju, your desert companion with the lightning, had a bedroom full of seal plushies in BotW? Well, she still does in TotK, and you can pick them up and fuse them to things and now I am the proud owner of three seal plushie shields in varying colors. I will never use these shields, and I will carry them with me everywhere.

For anyone wandering by, here's what you need to build at home.

Okay. I REALLY want to see a seal plushie shield!

I started playing Final Fantasy 14 and am enjoying it mostly. I'm up to level 14. You get a free bird-mount at level 20 and can more easily start rampaging about the map at that point. I expect you can make some pretty cool stuff at that point.

The best parts is that they're bi: Mac and PC. And their free model will let you get to level 60, out of 80, I think. There are limitations that are mildly onerous, which is acceptable. And I haven't gotten smoshed yet! That'll happen soon enough. I look forward to seeing their housing system and how decorating works.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, if only I could do that in LOTRO!  I have a hobbit running around with a really cool warhammer.  She's actually using a club as she gets a +5% racial damage bonus with it, the hammer is a cosmetic thing, but I could be so super-obnoxious with a seal plushie hammer!!! WHAM! (squeek)

Adorable! Pull one out in front of Riju, see if she reacts.

Still can't pet dogs. That seems deliberate. They know we want to pet the dogs. And the horses, even when not mounted! Etc etc

Everything is burning. Very frightening.

I don't understand the air flow, though. Usually weather that hits New York, etc, ends up in Ontario and the Maritimes, so this is an additional worrying change.
