So, I kinda feel like I ought to send a New Year's greeting to my uncle

that is, my mother's brother.

And if I'm doing that, I may as well send one to my aunt (his ex-wife) and my mother's cousins.

I don't really want to just text "Happy New Year" and send it - feels a little low-effort.

But I also don't want to put any actual effort into this. So I was thinking maybe an ecard, but the first free one I tried suddenly surprised me by asking for an email.

I'm lazy, and don't want to do my own googling. Does anybody know of a free ecard site that will send a text message rather than insisting on emails for some unknown reason?

(Hopefully, if I manage this juuuuuuust right, I'll successfully send the message "Happy New Year, I'm sending this out of a vague sense of obligation, I'd welcome a return message in this same vein but please do not initiate any further contact" without actually having to say anything but the first three words. Does anybody have a card which says exactly that, but politely?)

The only e-card sites I know use email, not text. With text I usually get gifs and stickers found in the texting app itself. So "card goes out via email" is the reason and free e-cards have been around for a long time so they're still the default I guess.
