*laughs*

Remember [livejournal.com profile] synapticknob? Posted some borderline offensive things about homosexuality in [livejournal.com profile] asperger? Also can't spell?

Yeah. Somebody suggested, since it's come up lately, that "gender" be put into the interests for that comm. And Synaptic threw a fit. So one of the mods deleted his comment. So he *reposted it* as an entry, whining about freedom of speech. And got his sorry ass banned, thank you very much.

At which point he 1. went to harass the offending mod in her journal, and 2. REAPPLIED FOR MEMBERSHIP. It's right in my email! He didn't even switch to a different username.

It's a whole new world of dumb!

I know! The LEAST the twit could have done would have been to wait until the mods in charge might not still be in charge. If a mod kicks somebody off a community, deletes their posts, deletes their comments, obviously they're NOT going to reapprove membership five minutes later...

I was almost that very right hand-- and was going to let him in precisely because he'd posted before. Ooops. This is what I get for ignoring the potential flamewar threads, I guess...

Then again, his comments in the driving thread may well have been reason enough to ban him. I mean, come on. Gran Turismo?!

I friend pretty freely, and the only time I unfriend is either because somebody directly attacked me or I stopped being (or never was) on their Flist.

Dear [livejournal.com profile] synapticknob,

Nobody even begins to think you might be gay. Honest. Even if they did, they wouldn't dare to say so for fear of offending the rest of us. It's okay.

Reassuringly,
Mhari

Yo. Has anyone ever explained to you about quitting while you're ahead?

Unbelievable. Mr. Genderful is a bit excitable to reaply that quickly. He could at least wait until there was a slim possibility that the banner might not be so annoyed with him.
I felt sort of bad about the last run in with him; I felt like I was baiting him a bit but apparently it isn't me who doesn't let things go...

[identity profile] codeman38.livejournal.com 2004-09-13 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Meanwhile, I, remembering I'd seen the name but forgotten which person actually went with it, tried to let him in. At least it didn't let me because someone else had already handled the request.

Just curious... if you click the link to add a user to the community in the e-mail that gets sent, does it show a confirmation page with a link to the journal of the user in question? I'm new at this moderated community thing, so I've never even seen this till now...

Heh. Check out his bio.
He claims to be tolerant. *snerk*
