One of the neighbors has been trying to catch a half-feral kitten

I saw her today, yowling up a storm from the wheelbed of a truck. I tried to get her, but she dodged further into the truck, and when I went back later with cat food she was either gone or quiet. I'm not sure if she fled across the busy street to her normal hideout in a particular overgrown yard or if she stayed there and just shut up, but I left the cat food anyway. I hope she's all right, poor baby.

(The pronoun here is arbitrary. Kittens don't mind.)
