I have my period and have spent the day with a headache

This would normally be the very cap of my awful day, but also the outlet for plumbing to the entire house seems to have broken and is flooding the basement and our fridge broke entirely and isn't working and we had to throw out a lot of food.

I do not like this day and would like to submit a complaint.

You are 100% right. This is a day that needs a complete tear-down and do-over. Very very very sorry this all has happened right now.

Mmm. And because the headache came before any of it I was completely zonked and largely unable to help with any practicalities all day, so much kudos to A who handled most of it.

If it had hit in the morning I would've been able to push through long enough to move the food (or toss out what shouldn't be saved), run a small load to the laundromat, and so on.

My day sucked, too - and that's without the Aunt Flo visit or any of her drama, for once *knocks wood* - what is it about today but uh, no: your fridge, the food, the plumbing, the basement, and her all at once...that many things would eventually send me off to bed unable to can-even. That is a bit much. All the sympathies.

It could be worse - at least I put in a grocery order for delivery *tomorrow* and had not just filled the fridge *yesterday*!

It's technically a two family house, although we only have one working bathroom and stove. But we *do* have a second fridge, so we just moved all the stuff to save downstairs. It's a huge hassle because of course we still *cook* upstairs, but.
