I just submitted my translation for Latin. We're doing Cicero again (it's VULGAR and medieval Latin. I think this is so we can joke how, yeah, Catullus is really vulgar...) and I'm 96% convinced that I made a tragic, horribly obvious error. Anybody know enough to check mihi?

Clodianae pontis occuparant, tabellae ministrabantur ita ut nulla daretur 'uti rogas'. hic tibi rostra Cato advolat, convicium Pisoni consuli mirificum facit, si id est convicium, vox plena gravitatis, plena auctoritatis, plena denique salutis : accedit eodem etiam noster Hortensius, multi praeterea boni ; insignis vero opera Favoni fuit...

Clodius' henchmen had taken the narrow passages leading up to the tribunal of the presiding magistrate (bridges, isn't there another way to say that?), tablets were provided such that there was none on which "uti rogas" was inscribed. You will be interested to know that Cato flies to the speaker's platform, makes an amazing insult against the consul Piso, if it is an insult, his voice full of gravity, his voice full of authority, and indeed full of the safety (of the republic): now too our Hortensius came to the same place, moreover many senators (came to the same place), truly the work of Favonius is outstanding...

I'm a little too rusty to do Cicero. I don't know if you'd consider this cheating but I used to check my work against Bartleby or Perseus (that is, if your prof gave you line numbers or at least a general idea of where the passaged got yanked from). It's not very useful for word by word stuff (as, well, that would be cheating) but it can give you a good idea if you've missed something important (which I often did :)
