ST: Voyager has come up surprisingly often in my reading today.
And it's only 4am, too.
Which reminds me of my perennial question I keep meaning to ask: Can anybody recommend a really good general Voyager fixit fic?
It *must* fix the following:
1. The Maquis/Starfleet relationship should definitely be more fraught.
2. Seska's character can't be screwed over like that. Geez, I get angrier the more I think about it. Such a perfect plotline handed to them on a freaking platter, and they tossed it away in favor of Seska backstabbing her way to the Kazon. WHY.
3. Neelix and Kes, if present, need to be... I dunno, better. However that looks.
4. If it goes on long enough, yes, Seven. I don't care about almost all Borg-y plots, but Seven is amazing and that show did not deserve Jeri Ryan's amazing acting.
(If I keep on listing things I'll never end, but those are the crucial parts.)

If he wasn't such a good actor, I'd hate the entire character.

Yeah. All things Q need to be excised from the Trek universe, no matter how good the actor is. That just creates too many holes. The whole thing is malicious -- to the characters and to the viewers.

The day after I posted this, it turns out that today is John deLancie's 100th birthday.
His father's.
