I just wish I'd had the good sense to make a pre-quarantine run to stop and shop after all. It's in a Jewish neighborhood, or so I presume, and always has tons of macaroons before the holiday. We're not Jewish, but we all do love macaroons.
It is a little on the nose to be telling a story of a tyrannical ruler who ignored his advisors and so plague struck the land, which the Children of Israel avoided by cowering in their homes...and, well.
