When I saw "say hello with a light show," I thought of a DJ named Dick Summer, who did a routine on his radio show where he would ask his listeners to flick their lights on and off and they could see their apartment neighbors who were also listening.

That would be a neat socializing thing at a distance, if anyone actually listened to the radio, anymore.
