I'm one of those people to whom cilantro tastes like soap and will always lobby against it.

I must have gotten that gene from the non-latin@ half of my family. It makes meals with the other half awkward.

FYI, I like both grilld cheese and quesadillas. All the better to eat cheeeeeese, Gromit!

What did you end up making?

Never had a quesadilla and while I have had grilled-cheese sandwiches, I'm not entirely thrilled with them.

I answered the 1st question based on the presence of garlic, not the presence of cilantro or the type of chili peppers. My answer to the 2nd question would have been "neither, because I just happen not to, nothing to do with dairy".

I can't handle jalapenos, and I think I don't like cilantro.

Quesadillas as made by my spouse are delicious.

Love cilantro! Glad that it doesn’t taste of soap to me, as eating such a quesadilla would remind me of being punished as a kid for having a potty mouth! :-D

I voted for a grilled cheese solely on the basis of more cheese being conveyed more efficiently. I like both!

I like both but I always have bread and cheese in the house, whereas tortillas require a special trip. If I make quesadillas, they're always very simple--just grated cheese and salsa or guacamole. Maybe sour cream. I love fresh cilantro but I'd never use it in quesadilla, unless I was going all out and making homemade salsa .

love dairy, especially cheese. Hate it melted. Hate cheese with bread. (Also love bread without cheese.) Yah, I know, I am weird.

I prefer a grilled cheese sandwich if it's done Jon Favreau-Chef style, with primo bread. If it's gonna be white bread, then I'll go with a quesadilla.

Hope you enjoyed it, whatever you made!

Fun with grammar

I have this mental image of you spraying yourself with Cheese-wiz and wrapping yourself in a giant tortilla. (Given the size of the tortilla, having no clue what you look like is not a handicap.)
