It’s interesting to realize what that implies about familiarity in the user’s environment, paper versus tree leaves.  Likewise, that the term “sheet” in naval parlance refers to a rope!

That’s okay, it took me a few decades to realize that in The Sound of Music, the tune they play for the “Laendler” folk dance is simply “The Lonely Goatherd” with a different time signature!

In The Music Man, "Goodnight My Someone" and "76 Trombones" are the same tune: one slow, the other fast; one in triple, the other in duple.

And it’s fun to watch them fuse together in Act III, with Marian singing “76 Trombones”!

- That’s actually a very touching scene, where we finally see what makes Harold “Gregory” Hill tick:  Like ‘Deke’ Slayton, he could only boost others towards the goal he wanted himself but could never do.  And at the same time, despite his reputation (“And that’s a hundred and three counties!”) and his intention (“I came up through the ranks on this campaign, and I’m not leaving without my commission!”) - he in turn sings, “Goodnight, My Someone” - and prepares to leave, to spare Marian…  only to discover that he can’t. (“I got my foot caught in the door.”)

I like musicals.  Not per se, but many of the productions I like are musicals.

Tho’ I do not know it to be true, I believe the 1960 film of Music Man was why Walt Disney changed the original 1930s setting of the ‘Mary Poppins’ stories to 1910 for the eponymous movie.

“Oh, you like nostalgia, do you, America?  1912?  Bahh - we’ll do 1910!  Neener neener!!

What has *me* against this is that every place in the US that I've heard of trying this is *not* just taxing the sugary sodas, but *all* sodas, including the sugar free ones.
