It'll last until the first Big Dramatic Crisis with a teacher or fellow student. Then the bloom will be off the peach, because she'll realize that High School is just more school, not the Magic Realm of Coolness she imagined. Freshman girls average about one Big Dramatic Crisis a month; you can probably predict which week to expect it.
