that reminds me of when my dad had this old ('92/'93) chevrolet cavalier from 2008-2011. one of the MANY things wrong with it was the windshield defroster didn't work. so whoever was in the passenger seat had to used newspaper to try to direct some heat from the heater onto the windshield. which didn't succeed too well. when he got a 2001/2002 buick century in dec of '11 one of the first things we did was try out the defroster. seeing the fog on the window dissipate was one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen.
