Parents always object to their kids' tastes in entertainment. Before radio and movies were invented they stressed out about what books they read.

I know. It's amazing how some things never change.

I actually listened to a lecture on fairytales and children's literature once that brought up the point that playground songs and rhymes made up by children are always way more gruesome than something an adult would create for them.
