I am extremely fond of pigeons. (Some people would say excessively. Those people are wrong.)

...so many concerns about widespread genetic testing. It seems extremely likely to be used in ways that are not nuanced, not useful, and even likely to be harmful (sorry, that's a preexisting condition...). It's not that the technology is bad. It's that the uses and protection of the information likely are.

And yeah, that's changeable, if one has the ability to change things at a societal level. But I think that change needs to happen before we start putting a big focus on genetic scanning, or we're likely to set ourselves up for a bigger problem.

Not camels too. D:

Go Eva; best of luck!

As a lifelong teacher and a former MENSA member, it's my considered opinion that IQ tests measure the ability to take IQ tests. I have test-taking as a +3 super-power, so I never felt that any test was biased against me, but I've seen a lot of other people who have test-taking deficits: it doesn't matter how well they know the actual material; they struggle with the testing procedure itself.

I do want hygge, and have a fair bit of it, but I ALSO want social democracy.
