He's practically impeaching himself, is my current take.
His numbers will tank soon over denying federal workers their latest 2% raise, not to mention shutting down half the government long before that over a fit he's having over a baby crib guard rail he wants, then saying Mexico will be paying for it, after all. By all means if that's the case, why not just re-open the government?
It's like he's at every loose end. But the federal raise denial is going to have deep network effects because a lot of those workers might be Rs but unlike Mountain Billy over in Kentucky and his kin they're not gonna just swallow their pride and find some conspiracy theory to justify it.
Or I could be wrong and he's at 90% approval by next month (well actually that's impossible, but with him it almost seems nothing else is, and I don't mean that in a good way).
I think it's a little more than ironic that the tantrum shutdown happens to close courts dealing with civil suits where the cheeto is a defendant. Abuse of power much? And I'm with you on everything else. Next month his approval rates will be "climbing" and he'll say that he can cure blindness, has been able to do it for years, but will only teach us if he gets his way.
