Are the rallies still going on, or are we going to stay home on the 30th?

I mean, when we say "families belong together" we usually don't mean "in prison".

Heh.

Good question. Just level up for the March, I'd say: Let's GENERALLY not treat immigrants like animals, mmh?

This is worse. Detention shouldn't be indefinite. I'd go to a rally (if there was one I could go to).

They'd both signed the Keep Families Together thing, according to the SPLC tool. They're pretty good. Obviously things have changed since I checked that less than 24 hours ago so I'll definitely be emailing again.

There is, I believe, a rally in London.

Give me Dickensian or give me . . . ????

Yeah, I'd say keep protesting until the kids are back with their relations. And no detention in military facilities (stay tuned on that front).

I'm still going. I'm also extremely suspicious about how that "unless these exceptions apply" caveat is going to be applied.

Rallies still on in Madison, WI. DC, too, I understand, and across the country.

Don't worry, there's always something to protest. I might even have to make a new sign, the Sanctuary one I've been using is getting a bit beat up.

I'm pretty cynical right now. About everything. Even when I show up to protests.

The news gets weirder and weirder--who knows what fresh hell will arrive between now and June 30?

Did anyone else see the amazingly prescient TV series The Crossing? The illegal aliens were time-travellers, but their treatment upon arrival--including separation of parents and kids, placement in improvised camps and military facilities (including actual summer camps), and the involvement of FEMA and DHS--all the elements were there. According to Wikipedia, "On May 11, 2018, ABC cancelled the show after one season." Wonder if they regret their decision, since the current crisis went public just as the show was airing its last episodes.

Agree. Probably nothing more sinister than bad ratings. . .but who knows? These days, the strangest conspiracy theories are left in the dust by the reality of this administration.

Rallies are absolutely still happening. Do not stay home on the 30th.

Given that it hasn't fixed the problem that the rallies were formed for, I'd guess the rallies are still on.
