Guys, never subscribe to
bookriot_feed.
Your kindle will explode while your pocketbook shrinks.
They're currently offering deep discounts on all sorts of books which, thankfully, I cannot buy because I've already read, including but not limited to: The Invisible Library, Artemus Fowl, Throne of the Crescent Moon, The Inheritance Trilogy....

Quick, move to England; it's still on sale for 99 pence there, apparently. O:(

...okay, FINE. I am going to go make sure all my Kindle books/short stories are a closer match to their US price rather than just going with the "whatever the going exchange rate was when I put them up" result. Huzzah the indie author ability and all that. -_-
Edit: Can't affect any of the other locations except I think I have "eat the VAT" selected at Smashwords. But I can affect Kindle! About halfway done, gotta get the kid food, will finish later. "Changes may take up to 72 hours to take effect."
Edit2: I am OK-FINE not at you, but at the whole ".au tax" thing, which is preventing people from enjoying a good book. OKAY FINE I WILL DO MY TINY BEST stupid added fees grumble.

I might know the author's Dreamwidth account, if you're interested... O;> (You may already know it, though.)

Edit: Though you *could* open the books in Kindle Cloud Reader, which I'm pretty sure doesn't require the app.
