When I first suggested to Ana that she might like Daria, she rolled her eyes.

She's currently watching her way through the entire series, and spent dinner talking in a Daria intonation. I've created a monster. A snarky, snarky monster.

There's been a long tradition of anti-censorship people pointing to Japan as a country with a lot of graphic sexual, and sexually violent, media and claiming that its low reported sexual offence rate shows that such content acts as a "safety valve" instead of encouraging sexual violence. I've doubted that for a long time, given how low reported sexual assault rates can be a sign of rampant but socially tolerated sexual abuse.

I loved Daria when I was a kid, but back then I didn't "get" all of it. Watched it as an adult a few years ago and it was still alright.

It's infuriating that our government is trying to sidestep the treaties we have with the various Native nations. The level of disrespect is downright shameful.

The moment he started ranting about Andrew Jackson as a hero of his, we should have seen this coming. Hell, that name-calling he keeps aiming at Elizabeth Warren is an older clue.
