Which brings me to my perennial question - if there are, in fact, active fandom comms on DW, you'd think somebody would've made one specifically for the MCU by now, just for discussion and whatnot. Judging from everybody's posts, that's eternally popular still. And yet, nobody has. (Welp, won't be me. Much though it pains me to see the gap, I'm not personally a fan, so....)

Well, if you want an active comm for the purposes of writing fic, there's apparently zillions of them.

I more want discussion spaces, I think. They honestly make me write more anyway.

It's a case of Be the Change, I'm sorry to say. You have to get a group of like-minded people and just... do it.

Where to find those likeminded people and get them to post at your favorite platform is an exercise best left to the reader.

I would love more active comms. And actually active. LJ used to have them, but half the time they'd be more... five icon posts a month, five fanfics a month, and nothing else. I'm all for icons and fanfiction, but I like actually discussing things even more.

Unfortunately, the only answer to that is Be the Change, with a hefty addition of Critical Mass. Find a few friends who want to talk about $FANDOM, and force yourselves to do it. Spam your comm everywhere. (At this point, I think it may be more efficient to try to skim some off of Tumblr/Facebook/Reddit/wherever, frankly, but it depends.)
