I've never met either version, so I don't know if I'd be contaminating your poll if I voted (since my vote would just be what I feel like putting, not what's the version I know).

The only one of those ice cream flavors I've seen for sale is garlic, because I live near Gilroy and yes, it's easy to find there. I've never tried it, though. I like garlic, but it doesn't feel like it'd go with ice cream for me. I might be willing to try teaberry. I've been in Pennsylvania a fair amount, but I've not seen it, but then I wasn't looking for ice cream.

When my nephew was about 4, and blond, blond, blond, I took him out for ice cream and he got Superman. Being a 4yo, he got it all over himself. It actually dyed his hair blue for about three days, and it turned his poop green. Being a 4yo, he was delighted. (His parents, not so much!)

The chickens are sleeping in the willow trees! /song lyric

Not my region, but it's the first and only thing that popped into my head. Cheers, Johnny Paycheck tribute concert a few years ago.

Blue and citrus ETA: Blue moon really is a Midwestern mystery, and a marvelous one! You can't find it outside Wisconsin and Michigan, evidently, and it really *does* taste something like fruit loops. Yum, says I. I've never heard of Superman (the ice cream, the hero's familiar); maybe that one's too far south by east of me. I grew up much closer to the UP than Detroit. Hmmmm, note to self, try and find Tiger Tail ice cream when you finally make it to the GTA.

They are missing green chili pepper flavor ice cream. I've only ever seen it in Hatch, NM (though it's probably available throughout the southern part of the state), in both mild and spicy forms. Both are surprisingly tasty, with a hint of smokey from the roasting.

I got to try Soy Sauce flavored ice cream in Japan, it was surprisingly good! It had that sweet and salty combo and brought out a lot of the soy saucey flavors.

"If I'm waterbound, and I can't get home, where are the chickens crowing, exactly?"

On top of the chicken coop.

Ahh. You didn't say it had to scan. "On the hen-house roof", then.
