That is scary... So many childhood memories of Seuss stories perverted now.

Me, either...

Basically you get really bored one day and you start saying to yourself "What if..." then write it down. Years ago I wrote a fanfic for Sailor Moon that was meant to poke fun at how corny the series was which got insanely popular and spread around the internet like wildfire. To this day I still get emails from people saying how much they like that story which I wrote about 8 years ago. Craziness.

But then you have the sickos like the one above who are oftentimes being dead serious about what they're writing. I don't get that personally.

I don't understand slashfic. I mean, I understand the appeal-- it's just pr0n. But I don't understand why people would write it.... at least, not why they would write it and share it everywhere and tell everyone off if they tried to point out the flaws.

Um. I have a lot of slashfic/fanfic writers/lovers in my Friends list, and I still don't get it.

I don't even know what it is. Is it like taking fictional characters and having them have sex with each other?

[identity profile] mortaine.livejournal.com 2004-07-16 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
From what I can tell, slashfic is fanfic with sex, usually homosexual sex, though it can also be as subtle as homoerotic flirting.

Fanfic is just making up your own stories to go with characters/worlds that someone else invented.

Well, live and let live, I guess. haha

*hug* My reaction exactly.

Big hugs. Head patting. It will be all right.

Argh, that is just... just... so wrong. ::hugs::

I can even understand the appeal behind fanfiction, but not... that sort of fanfiction, and especially not when it's based on a family-friendly fandom...

What do you think of political fanfic such as this? (http://www.livejournal.com/community/johnxjohn/461.html).

Well, since you've got to be 18 to vote anyway... ::grin:: And hey, it's not as if comedians don't frequently make jokes along the same lines...
