Even here in Portland, sleds can be had for like $5 at the grocery store. Is this not the case where you are, or is cash being really that tight?

The first. We haven't been getting much snow lately, so nobody has been stocking sleds. I actually know of one drugstore which probably does have sleds, the cheap type - but it's waaaay out by bus.

Laughs  I'm betting that in two weeks every store in the area will have 'em, and there won't be any more snow.

There's already no more snow today! Last week it snowed, and then two days later we hit 64 F. Two days ago it snowed, and these past two days have been in the 40s. It's ridiculous, and I'm fairly certain we can blame climate change.
