So, somebody has finally invented the carseat that will alert you if you leave the kid in it.

I am dubious about the value of blaring alarms coming from cars. It seems like they reached saturation years ago and everybody just ignores them now. But a gadget the sends text messages to everybody in the family is brilliant. I hope the price comes down soon.

Have you ever read the Washington Post article about kids being left in cars? It's a very interesting article - apart from accounts of it happening, it goes into why these sorts of carseats have never made it to market before.
