I decided to hold off on BSG until I could see it online and pause at will.

Gotta say, I love Cavill here. And Tori! Uh... well... in a second you're all gonna know I killed Cally in cold blood, and... uh... well... Tyrol, seriously, it was JUST A MISTAKE! and... um... it's not because we were lovers back on Earth. Seriously. Uh... yeah.

Edit: Yeah, I always knew that'd come back to bite her in the ass eventually.

Edit again: I forgot - seeing Baltar and Six BOTH seeing head!people? Priceless.

Edit: Cheesy ending, wow! And I see how they avoided any real (that is, interesting) answers on the head!people. SO WRONG.

Come to think, it's both cheesy and depressing when you consider that the Neanderthals were more or less wiped out when humans started moving up from Africa in real life.

Edit: So, wait - Kara-back-from-the-dead was a head!person the whole time? But... she had her OWN head!person! Oh, I'm just so confused.

Edit: So God - or whoever's - big goal is for humans never to develop enough tech to watch sci-fi on TV? That's a great plan! Sorta.

Anybody seen this article yet? How about this one? Yea, verily, we're living in the future now!

She was a headperson to everyone. She was a headperson who flew ships.

I like to think she just ducked down into the tall grass and smothered her giggles at Lee's confusion.

Kara was an angel but didn't know it was how I read it.

A few random observations:

Cavil: "Trust didn't enter into it. I simply miscalculated her need to engage in gestures of futility." At the last few words he winks at the camera. Odd.

Oops I just hit the nuke the hell out of everything button? (And wouldn't that have happened even if the impromptu peace conference went well?)

Gaius: "You know, I know about farming." I learned it from my father who died in the nuclear war! *sob*

Kara Thrace was a headperson OF GOD. (Well, technically, all of them were. Kara just more dramatically. And twice. Maybe.)

And then we create cute little robots and then eventually Cylons who destroy us all. Or not.

I expect that people smarter than I will be able to write some pretty good "what it all means" essays about this ending.

My impression was that all of the cylons following Cavil were in the colony, which was wiped out (it got hit by a bunch of nukes into the path of a cloud of asteroids, then eventually fell into that black hole). Everyone died, except for some 30,000 humans from the fleet and a few humans and cylons from Galactica. No one has descendants except Hera's family, evidently? (And maybe the centurions, who go off into space never to be seen again?)

Ah. That makes sense.

Yes, I looked that up last month.
