Okay, so, remember those metal skates that fit over the shoes?

And you have a skate key to adjust them to your foot?

Is it possible to buy those nowadays? And if so, where?

Not most places, they has been banned in many western nations due to being more than a little unsafe.
I tried to get a set ohh, 20 years ago now.. and couldn't due to banination.

relies to much on the structural integrity of the shoes or some such... Least that was the answer i got when i asked that question myself.

I did have a pair of skates like that when I was growing up. They're probably long gone by now; I would have otherwise let you have them.

I've not seen the metal variety, but there are plenty of plastic skates that fit over your shoes that I've seen for younger children.

I've seen people use them in the UK when I was there a few years ago. Here in Central Europe they are practically unknown. So, maybe, the UK?
