Okay, my reconstructed list so far....

H - crochet hooks
I -

M - marbles, or metrocards
N - nailclippers
O - uncooked oatmeal
P - paper clips, or puzzle pieces, or pipe cleaners, or uncooked pasta
Q - quilt scraps (by which I mean a small bit of cloth with something appliqued on it. It's a stretch)
R - rocks, or ribbons, or uncooked rice
S - sandpaper? or straws, or scrunchies
Sh - shoelaces, or shells
T - tea bags, or
Th - thimbles

You could put a couple of drops of orange oil or fold/bend a skin into it so the oils are released in the bag so it's not just a hard, plastic, bumpy ball.

I think it's really cool, actually. :-)
Pepper for P? I'll think more on this.

What about textures? rough for r, smooth for s, etc.
