Oh, just a note...

I'm not translating Zzo's posts for at least a week. It's driving me crazy. So I'm just going to repeat my plea for you all to STOP RESPONDING TO HIS SPELLING. I know, I've made my own comments, that's why I'm taking the break. Basically, if you can't comment intelligently on what he unintelligently said, it's better if you don't say anything. Don't call him stupid, don't mention his spelling, just ignore him completely and totally. He's trying to get attention. I knew him long before there were comment boards on NC (though I hadn't seen him in ages, he's not a person one tends to forget....) and he's always been like this. Commenting on it makes it worse by giving him what he wants.

AMEN. Ugh, I'm so sick of everybody making a big deal over his posts. I mean, when he originally came on, I can understand somebody posting, "Could you try spellchecking your post next time? It's sort of hard to read," but he's been on at least a month or so now, and people are still going at it.

If you can't wrap your mind around the idea that he doesn't care and probably doesn't even read your comments on his horrible spelling or grammar, then shut up about it and stop giving him attention.

And nowadays I barely see a reply to a post of his that is anything other than corrections or "OMG your spelling and grammar suck!" Um, wow, that's nice. Like we didn't know, and like he gives half a flying flip. If that's all you have to say, then ignore the damn post. If you have something to say about the statement behind the poor spelling and grammar, then fine, say it, no problem there.

*sigh* Thing is, I'm not too sure he's doing this for attention or if he's just doing it because that's how he spells/types. I mean, if we just ignored him, would he leave or still post? Does he care if his posts are replied to/corrected? :/

Either way, I just ignore him. If he left, I wouldn't mind; if he stayed, I wouldn't mind unless he did something actually ban-worthy. *shrug*

Strangely, it's harder to ignore the people who are berating him than it is to ignore Zzo. I've been wanting to post this on the boards for a while now, but I just figured I'd stay quiet about it all period.

I've thought from the beginning he was doing it on purpose (it's too consistent), so I asked a few times to stop, and when he didn't I kind of gave up and left it to you and the other mods.

I'm getting to the point where if I see that he's posted, I don't even bother looking. He never says anything useful and it's not worth the effort to read.

So, I agree with you. Let's just ignore him; if he doesn't quit, at least nobody will have to read the zillions of posts asking him to.
