So... are you aware of the existence of autism? Are you somewhat aware of my feelings on the subject? Are you aware that autistic people have been killed for being autistic?

Hm. Are you aware that an autistic teenager has become improbably famous after winning a basketball game? Not many people have read this story yet! I've certainly not heard about it!

And, lastly - are you aware that that puzzle ribbon thing is ugly? Please. Forget other types of feelings on the subject, that thing is the most unaesthetic symbol I've ever seen. Ugh.

I'd write a poem, but I've yet to buy new thread for my quilt (I lost the spool of thread I had, and am now distraught).

Store closes at 5. Oh dear. And I still have to get the smocks and egg dying stuff for tomorrow... gotta run!

I don't know if I like the ribbon or not, though I've got one on my truck. One thing about the ribbon I do like: it says autism awareness, not "pound our brains to mush for a cure." I'd kind of like one with fractals on it, but I'm weird that way and it'd be really hard to standardize a fractal design for one of those ribbons.

Dammit, now I need to learn how so I can see if that would work.

Is that an Ursula K. LeGuin icon? If so, OMGWAYCOOLIES!!! (no, I don't normally do that, but I don't encounter many people who read her books or at least admit that they might read her books.)
