Went to the museum today.
Showed off the card with the sticker! Got in free, as did Jenn - mommy had to pay, because it only covers two of us.
Then I realized that if we'd gotten there before noon, we could've all gotten in free. Oops. Oh well, now I know for next time. I'm setting up a whole little schedule of events to go to. Because I'm obsessed right now. I'll move onto another obsession soon enough.
Anyway, when I start planning these things, I wonder, does anybody in the city want to trek out with us to various places in the city with a toddler? (You don't need a toddler, though another kid might be helpful, as we're filtering things through "what's good for kids" whilst planning.) This is an open invitation. Will post the BCM schedule we're following in a bit.
Also, this is absurd. Thank you.
All things, even those marked "definitely going to" are not set in stone.
September
11
2:30 - Story Drum
get introduced to African rhythms, listen to a live drummer, make a cool percussion instrument, for all ages.
(Probably not going.)
18
11am - Early Learner Artist Workshop (must pre-register) for under 5 years.
1pm - Early Learner Performance - how Peanut Butter met Jelly (for all ages)
(DEFINITELY going to these)
October
8
11am - Blooming Babies Weekend - Rockin' Rattles (make and listen to rattles, learn about gourds)
12:30pm - Jazz Concert (all ages)
(might go, or might go to next week's performance instead)
15
1pm Early Learner Performance - the Castle of Now (all ages)
November
5 - 11am Blooming Babies - Science and Senses (going without Jenn)
20 - Early Learner Workshop followed by performance (too lazy to read details)
This is mostly a reference for me. They have a website with a calendar, google for it if you're vaguely interested.
Edit: I didn't know about this place. Must check it out.
