I hate the historical present.
I know it's the present. I can see it's the present. My dictionary program translates these verbs in the present.
I keep putting it down as the past. Because it's in the past, right? And this guy was talking about the past even then, right? NO! GOD DAMN IT! Now I have to go and fix all my verbs.
