Finished available episodes of Owl House, now watching Amphbia with Eva
In the last couple episodes of Owl House Emperor Belos takes off his mask, revealing his suspiciously sorta-humanish ears and mentions that he once went to The Human Realm. Later we see a family photo in Luz's home - Little Kid Luz, her mother, and another adult whose face is prominently obscured with the glare from the sun.
So after, Eva and I talked about about our feelings about this - we agree that Belos = Luz's dad is super cheesy, but if they're doing a red herring that's also cheesy.
Several minutes into this conversation, Jenn suddenly goes "Wait - you think the Emperor might be her father!?"
Apparently she missed both the clues and also our entire conversation. To be fair, neither Eva or I actually said during the course of the conversation "Emperor Belos is either her father or they're just trying to throw us off the track, very obviously", we sorta talked around it... but we both knew what we meant. I'm not sure, sometimes, if Jenn and I understand fiction the same way at all.
