Well, that episode happened.
The Flash finale was a bit of a letdown overall. I mean, it was an adequate ep, but not for a season finale. Everybody'd long since guessed the identity of the man in the mask, to the letter (for all of Zoom's bragging about how nobody would understand it - geez, somebody shut that man up already), so there was no way that'd really live up to the hype. And Barry was a completely self-centered idiot, and yes, they should have tranq'ed him a second time, and a third, and a tenth if that's what it took. (Nice to see him on the other side of "We know what's best, so you don't get to decide" for a change, btw, and good of Iris not to rub that in his face.)
Zoom's motivation was, of course, off the charts on the scale of 1 - evulz. Honestly, Zoom, leave yourself something to challenge yourself! (Well, now he's dead, but I guess somewhere in the multiverse he probably isn't...? I never know how multiverse stuff is supposed to work, especially in the comics world.)
And then Barry going back to save his mom? Why does he think he stopped himself from doing that the first time around? Of course, they end on that cliffhanger, which everybody knows how it turns out, but you know they'll resolve it pretty darn quickly, so it's not much of a cliff.
I'm just saying, it could be better.
