Eva fell down and bit her lip so it bled.

I'd wanted to leave the playground, and I needed to buy tomatoes, so I decided to go to Whole Foods and buy some tomatoes and ice cream. While we were there, the nieces spent up their entire allowance on croutons, candy, and soap.

Then we bought our ice cream, and by the way, ice cream with waffle pieces in it is the best idea ever.

So the cashier was chatting with Ana after the fact, and Ana mentioned, out of nowhere, that she knows a blind man who plays the piano. The cashier replied "That's amazing! It just goes to show, you can do anything if you put your mind to it!"

I didn't say what I was thinking, which is that it's not THAT amazing (he's blind, not deaf! nor were both his hands amputated, which *would* be remarkable in a pianist), which is just as well, because as I was holding her tongue Ana told the cashier her ambition: To grow up, take over the world, and make everybody else her minions.

It's the little moments, really.
