If I'd known this was gonna be a dead dog book I would not have read it.

I don't care if it does honor the author's dead dog and also Filipino belief that sometimes animals will get sick or die to protect their beloved human, you gotta warn a reader! Especially in kids books, and no, I don't care what longstanding children's book tradition states on that front.
