Oh, is the rash one a steroid? When I was stung by a portugese man-o-war, I ended up having to take a steroid in a decreasing dose like that, and the taste was FOUL. It lingered in my mouth for like 20 minutes, even when I followed it with food. If I had been at home (as opposed to on a cruise ship, which is where I was), I would've put them inside gel caps and swallowed them that way to get them down easier. Ugh, so so gross.
