A sunshiney thunderstorm.

And the kids down the block are home already. I've been meaning to ask them about that - pretty sure they attend PS 16, which a. is further away than the nieces' school and b. lets out later. So how can they get home BEFORE I set out to pick up the girls? But I don't want to bother their parents with this observation until I confirm with the kids that they are, in fact, not attending all their classes. It'd be an embarrassing waste of time if I found out they went to some parochial school or something with different hours.
So lately I've been getting a lot of nifty old bills. A $5 from 1988, a $10 from around the same time, neither in great condition... and this almost perfect (just folded neatly!) $10 from 1963. (1963a, in fact). How cool is that? How much is it even worth? (And no, the answer "ten dollars" is not acceptable.) I'm not spending it, obviously, I have it tucked away. I entered it at Wheres George, though, which is kinda pointless given that I'm not spending it.
I took the $5, though, and did a bit of contrast-and-compare with the nieces, showing the difference between different runs of the same bill.
