Oh man.
Jenn overspent. My mother overspent. (My mother had all her teeth pulled, so she can spend what she likes, if you ask me.) *I* overspent... and nobody gets paid until Thursday.
The nieces have swimming on Wednesday. We can't get there on time by bus... and car service is $8. And, of course, I have to buy groceries, because I get them weekly. (This way, if there's any left over, I can use it the next week instead of waiting TWO weeks, by which time it may have gone bad.)
Now, technically, if I don't mind baking my own bread (it's already rising!) and living off of rice and beans for the week, I don't *actually* have to get groceries. This is because I tend to cook for an army, and I shop accordingly, especially when it comes to nonperishables. Plus, I just found out we had a whole other bag of lentils I didn't know we had....
But I don't really want to do that, so instead I'm glaring at the fridge and trying to fit my budget to save $8 somewhere so Evangeline makes it to swimming on time on Wednesday. I *could* take them out 30 minutes early, with Jenn's permission... except I do not HAVE her permission, and they were just out all of last week, so I kinda think that's a bad idea. Permission from parents or not, I don't want to do that.
(And I wouldn't even be worried about this except that in the middle of LAST week I spent $20 ordering in, and the minute the delivery guy is at the door Jenn calls and says "Whoops, don't spend any money, I have a lot less than I thought." I could use that money now.)
